Inspiration behind these verses: I recently read a wonderful article titled 'How to know what you really want' by Luke Burgis on one of my favourite magazine:AEON-PSYCHE. This article delves into the Rene Girard's, one of the greatest minds of the 20th century, mimetic theory of desires and what it means to desire something. The author also talks about building an authetic self by way of being anti-mimetic. My piece of writing here is an attempt at presenting the same idea in a poem. I hope you guys enjoy reading it!
